Online Dating AdviceLooking to be successful with your online dating? Well here are the best online dating advice tips - the ones that will really multiply the number of dates you'll get. The MOST important bit of online dating advice?Think like an advertiser! Bear with me here. That may sound a little commercial or impersonal. But there are some great lessons to be learned from advertisers if you want to get more dating success. It's a numbers gameIf Cadburys wants to sell more chocolate bars, it doesn't put a small ad in the back of the East Bumfordshire Gazette. Nope. They run a national TV advertising campaign. They know that if they want to get great results, the only possible way is to reach the maximum number of potential customers. So if you want to multiply your dates online, forget about the smaller online dating sites. Why? Because if you pick one of them you're slashing your potential number of dates from the start. The only time that makes sense, is if you're in a minority position and you know you need a specialist dating site - for instance, a number of my Jewish clients have been looking for Jewish partners, so they naturally want to narrow the field deliberately by only going to JDate. On a budget? If things are really tight for you money wise there are free dating sites you can go to. Unfortunately, none of them are yet that big. At least, not in comparison to the major paid sites. So if at all possible, spend your money on a quality dating site and cut back on the number of expensive dates you go out on. Getting the most out of your online dating profileSo you're with match.com, or one of the big players. What do you do? Bash a quick sentence or two into their forms and sit back and wait for the dates to roll in? I don't think so. You've joined a big site, so the competition is going to be harder. And if you want to compete, you need to concentrate on two things.
A quality photograph (or several) is a must. I'm not even going to entertain the fact that you don't put one up at all. I'm sure you already know that you're 7 times more likely to get a response with a photo, compared to none. But look round any dating site and you'll see any number of truly horrendous photo's. Taken on camera phones, rubbish lighting, bad colour tints, too small to see what the person really looks like...the list goes on. I'm no professional photographer, but what I do know is that from reviewing personal adverts with my clients the first thing they always sift on is the photo. Get your photo taken professionally. Spend the money and you'll be rewarded 10 times over. Once you've got your great photo up, then you can focus on what you need to say in your personal ad.
